Lincoln School Class of 2009
South Korea

Another day begins. I wake up at 6 in the morning to go to my morning class, choir, at school. Wait, let me restate that. I wake up at 6:15 in the morning. It takes 15 minutes to get out of the bed. As I get ready, I check if the electricity's out; there is 16 hours of loadshedding meaning we don't have 16 hours of electricity for a day. We use inverters and generators. After I'm done beautifying myself, I start walking to school. Dogs bark at my footsteps and cows on the street nonchalantly pass by. Am I in Texas? No, I live in Kathmandu with the world's highest and most beautiful mountain.
