Wittenberg University

(Springfield, OH)

The Wittenberg experience ensures that students will graduate not only prepared for whatever pursuit they choose, but as well-rounded, unique individuals ready to lead personal, professional, and civic lives of creativity, service, compassion, and integrity.

What makes up the Wittenberg experience?

A bright, challenging, and supportive faculty with more Ohio Professors of the Year than any university in the state

Students who are friendly and full of life, and who together create a close-knit Wittenberg community.

A winning athletic tradition with 23 varsity teams where students understand what it means to be a scholar-athlete.

A campus that ranks among the nation's best for its sheer beauty, and one that inspires fun times as evidenced by its outstanding Frisbee golf course.

A bounty of social change agents, including an inspiring community service program, which the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll annually confirms with its inclusion of Wittenberg on its select list.

A well-rounded education that not only prepares students to make a living, but also a life.

An apple tree was planted on the hill between Wittenberg University's Weaver Chapel and the Benham-Pence Student Center as part of a larger “Luther Garden” project in Wittenberg, Germany, during a campus ceremony on May 23. It is one of 500 trees being planted as part of a celebration of the 500-year anniversary of the posting of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses.
