(Monmouth, OR)

Recognized by insidecollege.com as one of Oregon's "Hidden Gems," Western Oregon University is dedicated to meeting the needs of its diverse student body. Founded in 1856, WOU's 157-acre campus is located in Monmouth, 20 miles southwest of Salem. Aside from an array of undergraduate and graduate programs to choose from, WOU offers the state's only four-year degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Studies and ASL/English Interpreting, as well as a graduate program in rehabilitation counseling.

A diverse set of resources are available to WOU students, including the Honors Program, Study Abroad & International Exchanges, as well as dual enrollment programs with two community colleges. Financial aid is also available, and in some cases students may qualify for the Western Undergraduate Exchange program or the Oregon Opportunity Grant.
