Recognized by insidecollege.com as one of Oregon's "Hidden Gems," Western Oregon University is dedicated to meeting the needs of its diverse student body. Founded in 1856, WOU's 157-acre campus is located in Monmouth, 20 miles southwest of Salem. Aside from an array of undergraduate and graduate programs to choose from, WOU offers the state's only four-year degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Studies and ASL/English Interpreting, as well as a graduate program in rehabilitation counseling.

A diverse set of resources are available to WOU students, including the Honors Program, Study Abroad & International Exchanges, as well as dual enrollment programs with two community colleges. Financial aid is also available, and in some cases students may qualify for the Western Undergraduate Exchange program or the Oregon Opportunity Grant.

      Registrations are rolling in for Criminal Justice Careers Day on March 7. The FBI will be participating the career fair portion of the event.

      Due to flooding and dangerous driving conditions throughout the Willamette Valley here in Oregon, WOU has decided to cancel tomorrow's Preview Day. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we want to make sure all prospective students and their families and safe and not worried about driving to WOU in dangerous conditions.
