Wilbur Williams - A Faithful Life

Dr. Wilbur Williams and his wife, Dr. Ardelia Williams, graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1951 and returned to campus 16 years later as faculty members. In September 2011, at age 82, Wilbur began his 45th year as a full-time faculty member in the religion and philosophy department, teaching New Testament Survey classes to almost 500 students each academic year. During her 35 years as an art professor, Ardelia saw the art department grow from one full-time professor to seven full-time faculty members, and the number of art majors grew from one to 150. During their teaching careers, both Wilbur and Ardelia became citizens of the world, introducing hundreds of students to the rich art and biblical histories of England, Italy and the Holy Lands. Most of all, Wilbur and Ardelia modeled their faith in God and their love for each other.
