- I love field hockey because it is a sport that is not all about skill. It is also about endurance and determination.

- Volunteer at Japanese orphanage
- Every other Sunday, I volunteer at a Japanese orphanage. I love to go there because the kids are so sweet, fun, and full of energy. I love children, and it is really fun to play games with the kids.
- Volunteered as an English teacher in Thailand
- I volunteered as an English teacher in a rural village school near Ayutthaya, Thailand. I taught grades 3 through 6 each day. It was such a rewarding experience that I will never forget.
- Volunteered at the Thai orphanage Pak Kred.
- I volunteered at a Thai baby home this summer. Each morning I was able to hold and play with the babies. The orphanage's sought to get volunteers to hold and show the orphans much needed love.
- Built a house in Thailand for Habitat for Humanity
- We raise money in the Habitat for Humanity club for people who cannot afford homes. I went on the trip to Thailand and it was an amazing experience working side by side the homeowners to build a home.
- Volunteered at a school for children with disabilities
- Two or three times a week, I would go to TILC (Tokyo International Learning Community--a school for children with disabilities.) I loved working with the kids and helping to make learning fun.
- Volunteer at Second Harvest Japan (foodbank)
- Every Saturday morning, I volunteer at 2HJ foodbank. I help package, cook, prepare, and sort through food that is later delivered to the homeless in Ueno Park. I love seeing the smiles.
- Volunteered at Special Olympics
- I played basketball with disabled children for the Japan's special Olympics.
- Varsity field hockey
- I am a returning varsity player, so it is my responsibility to be a good example of sportsmanship to the newer players. I also help lead the exercises and drills.
- PRO (Philippine Relief Organization)
- This club raises money to support the Buyoung village in the Philippines. Each year, we hold numerous fundraisers to give financial support to the Buyoung school lunch program, a medical clinic, a college scholarship, and other community development proje
- COSA (Community Oriented Student Action)
- I am the leader for the Orphanage project for the club COSA (Community Oriented Student Action.) Each week I organize for a few students to join me at the Hiroo Orphanage to play with Japanese children.
