Long Description

University of Houston, founded in 1927, is a public institution. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Architecture, Business Administration, Education, Humanities and Fine Arts, Natural Science and Mathematics, Optometry, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, and Technology; the Graduate School of Social Work; the Cullen College of Engineering; the Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management; and the Bates College of Law. Its 550-acre campus is located in a residential area, three miles from downtown Houston.
