The University of Denver, founded in 1864, is the oldest private university in the Rocky Mountain Region of the United States. Programs are offered through the Daniels College of Business; the University College; the Faculties of Arts and Humanities, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Engineering, and Social Sciences; and the Graduate School of International Studies. Its 125-acre main campus is located seven miles from downtown Denver.
