Unity College
Unity College, "America's Environmental College," is home to one of the broadest environmental curriculums of any post-secondary institution in the United States. Founded in 1965, the college prides itself on environmental leadership for the real world, and has a reputation for engaging its students in experiential learning and research opportunities, both in and out of the classroom. Nestled between the town of Waterville and the Maine coast, Unity College is adjacent to mountain terrain and tidal pools, used by students for both education and adventure. The rural Maine setting is the perfect backdrop for acquiring environmental skills and knowledge in the classroom and applying them to internships, research, and personal exploration in the real world. Unity is a champion of sustainability, and has incorporated it into the everyday lives of the campus community. With opportunities like attending conferences on climate change and helping to build the next sustainable residence hall on campus, graduates are prepared to tackle and solve the environmental problems of the 21st century. Unity College's friendly campus and surrounding community foster an ideal environment for Unity students to become active and lifelong learners. Unity looks for students who are independent, friendly, collaborative learners, and caretakers of the environment. If that's you, that's Unity...and that's why you belong there!Find out more about the academic opportunities and scholarships from Unity College on Zinch today.
