I am a senior in high school, headed off to LA in the fall. Really my ultimate goal is to get my PhD and become an English professor. I have a passionate love for literature and the English language. I am also pretty big into theatre, mostly backstage. I like to stage manage. I'm also offended that my computer wants me to spell it "theater." Anyway, the third of my big interests is music. I have played clarinet for nine years and have a strong burning desire to learn the violin. After violin I hope to move on to the accordion.

Extracurricular

Stage Managing

Running of all backstage everything. Completely in charge of all props and sets (as well as actors) and there cues. Knowing exactly when they need to be wherever it is they need to be and where that is, and then getting them there on time.

Assistant Directing

In charge of everything. Director's right-hand-man, so to speak. The Director is often busy with one thing or another, so I take over the running of the show, almost in its entirety in the last couple of weeks of rehearsal, as well as during the run of

Band

play the clarinet! woohoo! Wind Ensemble level (highest level at our school) since Freshman year.

Writing

I love to write fiction. English is my favourite thing in the world, and my inspiration.

NextStep Recycling

I took apart computers and sorted the parts so they could be recycled properly and refurbished, and sold cheaply, or, often, donated to places of need in South America.

International High School (IHS) is a curriculum with an international focus and whose curriculum is taught world-wide.
