Follow messageHi, I'm Susan! I'm full South Korean, born in Toledo, OH, but raised in Columbia, SC. I'm a devout Christian and you'll probably know it if you meet me! I'm a Senior at Spring Valley High School and I'm part of the DISCOVERY Science and Math Magnet Program. So you could call me a nerd, but I'm also a musician. I play 3 instruments extremely well, but I play 5-6 decently. Singing is also a passion of mine. I'm an outgoing person so I love people and I ADORE kids (I want 4). In the future, I want to be an orthodontist or pharmacist, but my dream is to be a singer! Either way, God will guide me!

- I've played for almost 14 years. I'm a member of a studio and I participate in auditions and competitions. I've even been on eTV at the age of 11 for winning. But I love to write my own music and improvise on the piano whenever I can.
- Church Praise Team
- I was one of the lead girl vocals in KCPC's Friday Night Youth Group Praise Team since 8th grade until this year [senior]. I am now the leader, lead singer, and the keyboardist. I attended church regularly on Sunday's and Fridays. :D

- 1 of 4 Juniors at Spring Valley High School selected in 2008-2009. Junior Blood Drive chair.
- Church Youth Group Leader
- In 11th grade, I was KCPC's Friday Night Youth Group President. I am also a small group leader and have been so for 4 years since 8th grade. This year, I am the only high school small group leader and I lead middle school girls!
- Pageant
- In 2009, I participated in the Miss Spring Valley Pageant. I sang and played the piano as my talent. The song is titled "Run" by Leona Lewis. And happily, I won Miss Junior and Miss Grand Talent.
- Nursing Homes
- I, along with a group of friends from church, have organized days to go to various nursing homes to meet with them, play music, and help around. With my church, as a Youth Group, we also visit Atria Assisted Living once every two months to great the elder
- Tutoring
- I tutor students at my school on certain days if they need help in any subject.
- Habitat For Humanity
- A group and I from school have helped volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. My church has also helped volunteer. Personally, I have helped reorganize the warehouse and paint and reconstruct houses.
- Blood Drive
- On March 18, 2009, the National Honor Society ran a blood drive at Spring Valley High School. I helped organize and run the blood drive.
- Relay For Life
- Relay For Life is a charity walk in order to raise funds for cancer research and patients. I have personally baked goods to help raise money, and I also walked to raise money.
- SC Governor's School Summer Program
- I went and participated in the Advanced Mathmatics Program at SC Governor's School for Math and Science during the summer before 10th grade.
- Furman Piano Music Camp
- For one week, I went to Furman University to attend a piano music camp. It was a lot of fun, even though I practiced like 5-6 hours a day! It was a really amazing experience.
- TRI-DAC
- TRI-DAC is a 3 week summer program held for the liberal arts. Only students rising to 6-9 grades can participate. I attended for 3 years and was concertmaster in the orchestra for 2 years.

- FCA is the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I was the treasurer in 9th and 10th grades. And in 11th and 12th grades I have been the music leader.

- I am an orchestra representative of Spring Valley's National Music Honor Society. As a group, we visit elementary schools to educate young children about music.

- I am a member and, as a club and individually, we do a lot of community service activities and raise money, through fundraisers and charity drives, for local organizations in Columbia, SC and for global organizations also.

- I am Secretary of Spring Valley's SNHS. As a club, we volunteer around the school and community to raise Breast Cancer awareness, help middle school students prepare for INTEL Regional Science Fair, participate in Relay for Life, and help out with any oth

- I have volunteered as either a Bible study teacher, recreational planner, or decorations member for VBS every summer in high school. I love children!!
