Before the summer of 2009, I used to be like many other American kids: only worried about music, sports, friends, and image. But over that summer, I took a trip to India. That's pretty normal for me, as I go about every two years. This time, however, was different. I saw so many things I had always been too preoccupied to notice before, and I learned the meaning of the word "inspired." I learned the meaning of family, and how it feels to leave everyone behind in a place you love, and to go back to a place where nobody notices you. I came back honestly wanting to be a better person.
