Almost all colleges find and recruit students through standardized test scores.
Zinch allows students to be seen for what they are -- not just numbers, but people.
You are more than a test score. Join the movement.
A few highlights
+ More than 400 colleges currently recruiting students on Zinch.
+ More than 260,000 high school students have already created Zinch profiles.

Zinch offers more than $50,000 in scholarships for graduating high school students.
To check out which scholarships you can apply for, go to the
scholarship page. Here are a few frequently asked questions.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
It's simple. First step is to create a Zinch profile. Go to the
sign up page and get started there. Once you're registered and you are currently
logged in, look at the menu on the left hand side of your page and click on "dollar
hollar." From there, you click the "apply" button for the different
scholarships you want to apply for. You only need to create ONE zinch profile, even
if you wanna apply for various scholarships.
How do I know if my scholarship application was received?
Once logged in, go to the dollar hollar section. Click the scholarship and see if
it says "applied" next to it. If it doesn't, click the "apply"
button and you're done.
When will the scholarship winners be announced and how will I know?
Winners will be decided after the deadline. It takes a little time to review the
applicants and make a decision. Be patient with us. Once the winners are chosen,
we will contact them via email and/or phone. The winners will also be announced
in the blog. Check out our
past winners.
Once I have clicked "apply" for a scholarship, can I still work on
my profile?
Yes. You can update your profile all you want up until the deadline. Once the deadline
hits, your profile updates will most likely not be considered for that specific
scholarship.

The Z-folio is the tool that allows students to upload multimedia onto the site
(videos, images, music, literature, pdfs, etc). Here are some tips to help solve
any problems you may have with the z-folio if it isn't working.
First off, the z-folio doesn't work well in the web browser Safari. Our website
is optimal in Firefox and Internet Explorer. So the first thing you need to do is
try a different browser. If the z-folio still isn't working after that, it must
be the filetype you are trying to upload. The filenames that CAN upload into the
z-folio have the following endings:
Music: .mp3
Video: .avi, .mov, .wmv, .mpg, .mp4, .flv (max size is 100mb)
Images: .gif, .jpg, .jpeg
Literature: You must copy/paste text into it.
PDF files: You can only use .pdf
If that still doesn't work, your javascript probably isn't enabled. It's a setting
for your web browser.

Each user who signs up on Zinch is required to confirm their email address. Here
are some common questions:
I receive the confirmation email but the link doesn't work.
If the link doesn't work, all you have to do is copy and paste that link (URL) INTO
the web address bar in the browser. It should take you to the page that confirms
your email address.
I still haven't received the confirmation email that Zinch says it has sent.
a) Make sure you entered the right email address.
b) When you log into Zinch, a window pops up that reminds you to confirm your email
address. There is a button in that window that you can push to resend the confirmation
email to the original address that you entered.
c) On that same window that pops up when you login, there is an area where you can
put in a new email address to have the confirmation email be sent to instead.
d) If you have a junk mail folder, check it. Sometimes the confirmation email accidentally
gets sent there. Make sure you have your spam/junkmail settings configured so you
can receive email from Zinch.

First off, make sure you actually have a Zinch account. Sometimes students think
that because they have a Fastweb or Princeton Review account it automatically means
they have a Zinch account. If you haven't registered,
go here to start your profile.
I lost my username and/or password
Go to the
login page and click
the link that says "Lost your password?" From there, a window will appear
and you can type in your email address. We'll send you your username/password to
the email address you specify in that window.
