St. Mary's College of Maryland

(Saint Mary's City, MD)

St. Mary's College of Maryland is an independent, public, liberal arts education located in St. Mary's City, Maryland. Founded on the site of the first state capital, St. Mary's stands as a living legacy to the ideals of freedom and inclusiveness.

St. Mary's College is devoted to providing an integrative curriculum, fostering intellectual autonomy, maintaining a high standard of academic excellence, and promoting and maintaining a community built on respect.

St. Mary's is a primarily residential school, with about 85% of its 2,000 undergraduates living on campus. It is the only school in Maryland that is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges, and has been named a Public Honors College.
