- Dr. Charles Kargleder, Professor of Foreign Languages, passed away on Saturday, May 19. He taught at Spring Hill for 45 years. Please remember all of Charles's family and friends in your prayers in the coming days. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, on Thursday, May 24 from 5-8 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Charles will take place in St. Joseph Chapel, Spring Hill College, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25

- Providence Film Partners is producing a major motion picture in Mobile, and this week they will be filming a number of scenes in St. Joseph Chapel and later on Rydex Commons. The Chapel will be closed this week for the filming. The film is titled Yellow Day. Mobile native Jeff Galle is a writer/producer. The film is being directed by Mobilian Carl Lauten and includes producers who developed the long-running television program "Touched by an Angel.
