- SMU Alumnus Sterling Moore was a defensive back for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, 2012. Moore, who helped the Patriots snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in their 23-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game, played for the Mustangs for three seasons - 2007-09.

Hi, Aimee - SMU considers many factors in making admission decisions. In our holistic admission process, there are no minimum SAT scores. The middle-50% of the this year's freshman class scored between 1180-1370 on the SAT and between 26-31 on the ACT. Scores are important, but we look at everything in your application. Hope this helps.
