Hello there. I'm Traceyl, nice to meet you. :)

When people think of high school academics, they tend to think of competition. Who has the best test scores, attendance, transcripts, etc.? I'll be honest; I used to think this way too. But when I really got to thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that this can't possibly be the best thing for the world. Why should only a few select students become the ones that will help our earth grow? Shouldn't we spend more time helping one another than selfishly trying to become the very best of the best ourselves? Two heads are better than one, as they say.

A little background. I am currently a high school sophomore in Iowa, the most exciting place on earth...I enjoy sarcasm, as well as music, basketball, swimming, tennis, being a ginger, and of course, school. Learning is a passion of mine. Something I always tell myself is: "You can't possibly learn all there is to learn. But you might as well try."

I'm a person who tends to question a lot of things. I think this is why I don't really have any religious or political views. Although my family is Catholic and Liberal, I don't think that means I have to be Catholic and Liberal. I just don't think I know enough about how the world works to take positions on these things. Although, there are a few things I'm sure of:

1) Love is love, and should be treated with respect.
2) Discrimination is, was, and always will be, wrong.
3) Violence never gets rid of the problem. If anything, it makes the problem worse.

I want to travel the world. The farthest I've ever been from home was about 1,700 miles in Key West, Florida. I loved every minute of it, especially the drive down. Now I want to travel to the lands of my ancestors; specifically France, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, and England. But of course, I can't limit myself to those places. I'd love to visit Italy, Spain, South Africa, Australia, Japan, China, Mongolia, and many, many more. I need a career that would allow me to travel. Otherwise, I don't know if I could ever be happy.

I suppose my main message with this whole thingamajig is to live your life for others, and try ever so hard not to be ignorant. Ignorance is certainly not bliss.

Bored? Message me! I'll follow you :)
