My parents named me Shivani which means the god of time and destruction, but that has nothing to do with my personality. I prefer sunrises over sunsets, coca cola over pepsi, mickey mouse over bugs bunny, white over black, summer over winter, and pie over cake. I love to dance and it is my passion. Singing is something new I have started and am loving it so far. I'm not really sure what I want to do, but I want something in the medical field along the lines of pharmacy or physical therapy.

Bollywood Style Dancing

I haveing been doing traditional Indian dancing (Bharata Natyam) since the age of 5. Continuing this style until I finished its course in 2008, I still take classes on the fusion of Bollywood style dance with hip hop. I have performed a countless number

Model United Nations

I started Model U.N. end of freshman year and I really enjoy being a part of the team.

volunteered at Palisades Hospital in Patients Care and Maternity

I helped nurses take care of patients in the 5th floor for the month of July, and spent August helping the nurses in Maternity with the new mommies and babies.

Jain Of Youth is our temple's youth group where I was elected to be vice president. Before being elected, I helped the group get started and co-coordinate the events. JOY helps our temple raise money while having fun and going on various fieltrips. We hav

I became an active member of the French Honor Society this year.

Mentoring

I mentor freshmen in my school, and help them get used to the school and help them answer any questions they might have.
