Provider Organization

Name:
Knowledge Matters, Inc.
Background:
Knowledge Matters is the leading developer and publisher of simulation-based business and personal finance curriculums for high schools. Founded in 1997 by Peter Jordan, with a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the company's simulations have been used by over 1 million students in over 5,000 high schools. Knowledge Matters focuses exclusively on education and does not produce consumer titles. Every design decision is based on maximizing the educational value of the simulation experience. The company believes that rich visual simulation-based learning will be the dominant educational trend of the next quarter century. This method is more appealing to students, easier for teachers, cheaper to deliver, and more effective in achieving useful skill development. The company is currently expanding its offerings to serve the college market and key government agencies.
