1) be a full-time high school senior
2) demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and display leadership abilities in school activities or through work experience
3) have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher.
Purpose:
Every year, Comcast and the Comcast Foundation ask High School Principals and Guidance Counselors to collaborate in identifying the best and the brightest high school seniors in their communities. Why? Because they want to motivate young people to achieve their potential, to be involved in their schools, and to be catalysts for positive change in their communities. The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizes students who exemplify these ideals - and who serve as models for their fellow students. It's not easy to be a kid today, and every bit of encouragement helps. Since 2001, the program has recognized nearly 11,500 students around the country and given away more than $11.5 million in scholarship grants.
