* 1250-1500 word essay addressing a single aspect of D.J. Solomon's Xen: Ancient English Edition, ISBN 0976066009, Avar Press, 2004.
* A letter from the writer's school, on school letterhead, must accompany the application, attesting to their current grade level & currently enrolled status at the institution, at the time of the submission; this may come from a principal, guidance counselor, or teacher. Home schoolers must submit a letter stating their intended year of graduation from their teacher.
* Scholarship form signed by student and legal guardian (available on site).
