- 702In SCAD’s television producing program, which is only offered on our Atlanta campus, students are prepared for vast career opportunities in the television and mass media industries. Television producers are the creative and managerial force behind on-air programming, many times guiding an idea from initial concept development through broadcast. SCAD equips television producing students with skills in field and studio production, business and public speaking to ensure their success in varying work assignments. Television producing is the perfect major for our location in Atlanta because of the schools close proximity to companies such as CNN, Turner Broadcasting, The Weather Channel, Etc. In contrast, for our Film and Television program, only offered on our Savannah campus, the curriculum encompasses acting, directing, writing, producing and sound design to immerse students in the full spectrum of production roles and responsibilities. Through advanced study and practice in both the technical and conceptual aspects of filmmaking, SCAD students are transformed into visual storytellers, multimedia artists and creative communicators ready for professional careers. Read more about each program at www.scad.edu/television-producing and www.scad.edu/film-and-television.
