- 2054First off, SBCC is renowned as one of the top ten community colleges in the nation and the only community college in California to make the prestigious Aspen Institute's list of top community colleges in the nation. Secondly, we offer a high quality education taught by exceptional faculty within small class sizes - on average about 30 students per class. As a community college, our tuition is quite reasonable, even for out of state students. We have a very high rate of successful transfers to some terrific 4 year universities, such as UCSB, Berkeley, USC and Cal Poly. And last but not least, we're a friendly college - it seems students are always saying how easy it is to find friends here with lots of clubs and campus activities, International students, athletic options - all centered on a stunning campus situated in a really wonderful multi-cultural, beach community. You should visit our Student Stories page ( http://www.sbcc.edu/prospective/studentstories.php ) and read for yourself about some of the wonderful experiences of SBCC!
