I've serched their site and I can't seem to find it, but I've seen where Sam Houston has some sort of film program. Is there any information I can get about this?

I have two questions... One: Does the theatre department accept play scripts from students to be produced? Two: What is the criteria for students to participate on the campus radio station?

I've looked at the majors but I don't see anything to do with Linguistics. My sister attended Sam for a time and she was in that field, and when I asked the Lady who visited my school, she said it would be a subdivision under Mass communication. How does that work?
            • 40
I'm an English major at Sam and our department chair actually has her Doctorate (I believe) in Linguistics. I just finished her class on the English language and it is AMAZING. I'm actually going to look into majoring in linguistics thanks to this class. As for actually making it a major... I'm not entirely sure. Dr. Halmari is our department chair. You could call Sam and ask for the English Department.

That'd be a great question to reach out to the mass communication department about. Learn more about their department and find their contact information here: http://www.shsu.edu/~com_www/
