Sacred Heart University (SHU)
Sacred Heart University's campus location offers the best of both worlds: A safe, suburban campus located on 69 acres in beautiful Fairfield, Connecticut a central location between the urban centers of New York City (55 miles) and Boston, MA (150 miles).
Fairfield County boasts the third-highest concentration on Fortune 500 companies in the U.S., world-class hospitals, nationally-ranked elementary and secondary schools and countless additional sites for students to intern and gain relevant work experience. In fact, our PioneerLink internship and job database includes over 6,000 employers, and 80% of graduating seniors report participation in at least one internship, practicum or field experience.
Sacred Heart University students study abroad year-round and worldwide at our own campuses in Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as well as more than 30 additional countries. We offer terms from 10 days to full semester to suit every student's needs.
SHU's student-run Inter-Residence Council recently won national honors for its comprehensive array of campus activities featuring more than 80 clubs and organizations including Greek life, academic clubs, community service groups, media organizations, diversity groups, student leadership/governance programs and more.
