I love to write poetry in my free time. It defines who I am as a person and helps to alleviate the constant stress of grades and preformance that most high school students must grow accustomed to; especially if you are in several AP courses. I also take online courses after school on top of my work load from NCSSM (North Carolina School of Science and Math). I play tennis regularly and ping pong. I love trying new things and I have a pretty good work ethic. So thats me in a nutshell!
Extracurricular
- School Tennis Team
- I was ranked 10th seed on my school tennis team. I plan to play next year as well.
- Debate
- I was involved with my debate team, at school and competed at several tournaments. My partner and I achieved a thrid place victory in public forum debate at a tournament.
- Multicultural Society
- Was involved in my community through this club by providing cultural information to others and bringing together many cultures into a festival.
- HOSA
- Health Occupational Students Of America. I competed in several events for this club, during the course of which I achieved a 4th place award for health speaking.
- Interact Club
- We called it interact but its the same thing. We volunteered to help with various things around in our community such as volunteering at various runs and walks, we hosted a blood drive, and we helped children in Peru sell various items so that they may ea
- Library
- I volunteer at the library and have been doing so for 3 years. I conduct story time sessions and lead workshops as well as create game and movie sessions that kids are involved in.
- 5k Runs
- I volunteer at various 5k runs in my area that run for lung cancer. I help by setting up water stations for the runners and providing encouragement for those that are running.
- Volunteered at Hospital
- I spent my summer volunteering in my local hospital where I learned what goes on behind the scenes of health care.
- Medical Explorers
- I was enrolled in a medical explorers program which consisted of us gaining a "behind the scenes" look of how it feels like to be in the medical profession. There was a doctor who explained the field to us at the hospital. For the completion of this cours

- I am part of the NCSSM online program. Through this program I was given the opportunity to participate in a symposium that dealt with the energy crisis and possible methods of solving it and how to solve the problem from the perspectives of different coun
