Hi! What kind of music opportunities does Pomona have? I've been playing violin for twelve years and want to continue, but not as a music major.
    • 344
Hi Phoebe. Pomona has a fairly extensive set of music offerings through our Department of Music, including two large ensembles and any number of smaller ones. You certainly don't need to be a music major (or minor, or even a music student) to participate. Check out their website for more info: http://www.pomona.edu/academics/departments/music/

Hi Rachelle! The easiest way is probably to use our online "request information" link, which will put you on our mailing list. https://my.pomona.edu/admission/requestinfo.aspx

Hi Emma, is there anything I can help you with?

Hello Mr. Hart! I was wondering if you could direct me to a student representative, especially one who is involved in the LGBT community? I visited last Fall, but was not able to meet many students due to the semester not starting yet. Thank you so much for your time! (I hope to apply to Pomona College EDI, if my finances work out!) :)

Hi, Justin. Just as an FYI, I've forwarded your message on to our director of LGBT life on campus to see if she can provide someone for you to contact. I'll let you know once I've heard from her!

Do I still have a good chance of getting into Ponoma if I'm graduating after my junior year with more than enough credits, a good GPA, member of student government, but no sports?
      • 57
        Oops, Pomona. Sorry!
      • 344
Hi, Caroline. We're don't put more weight on sports than on any other particular extracurricular activity. We just like to see that students have been involved outside the classroom in some meaningful way. As to your chances of getting in, that's always hard to say without actually reading your application. We weigh and consider all parts of the application as we make our decisions.

Hi. I heard that Pomona College has a neuroscience program is that true? and if it is how many years before you can major in it?
      • 344
Hi, Julio. We do indeed offer a program in neuroscience. The department's website contains most of the information you'll want to know about the major. Our only requirement about when you can major in things is that you must declare a major by the end of sophomore year and complete it by the end of senior year. http://pomona.edu/academics/departments/neuroscience/index.aspx
