Follow messageIt took awhile, but I think I finally have something that fits here. Politics is a passion of mine, a thing that gets me excited yet keeps me calm. I find it distasteful when people lie or change information to make a point. I am overambitious, and I have trouble finding free time. I overschedule my day in hopes that in some way my own pure ability will be able to finish everything needed, yet it usually doesn't. I find history to be fascinating, from Carthage religious sacrifice to the ignorance of the 1920s, and I suppose that's it... That's me.

- Extemporaneous Informative Speaking
- Extemporaneous Informative Speaking is an event in the Texas University Interscholastic League competitions. What the event entails is a thirty minute time period in which the contestants get to research, write, and memorize a seven minute speech for a ju
- Social Studies team
- Social Studies is a competiton in the yearly Texas UIL academic competitions. The Social Studies competition is a test, much like one would find in a school over whatever the annual topic is. The test consists of a multiple choice test that is divided int
- Art Club
- Basically, the club is a mash of the best and/or most passionate students from the art classes. Once in a while, we will get together after school and work on our art, having pizza or another take-out food after an hour. Most of the Art Club know each oth
- Senior Citizen's Christmas Banquet
- An annual event in which senior citizens from around town will attend a lunch in the high school cafeteria, and the students get to serve them a Christmas themed meal, as if they were in a restaurant.
- Teacher's aide at chuch school
- Assists teachers in the application of a class for younger children at the church. Activities include the building of puppets, some work, and basic understanding questions.
- Teacher for a special class at retreat
- Tought second grade children a class at a second grade retreat for the young members of the community.
- Worked at Texas Motor Speedway to raise money for church
- To help raise money for the church to pay its bills, every six months the Men's Club asks for volunteers to join them in working as waiters for NASCAR drivers in their tents.
- New York City Tour
- During the summer of 2007, some of the art students took a trip to New York City. While there, we visited such places as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Guggenheim. In addition, we had the chance to see two Broadway plays
