Long Description
Oregon Institute of Technology, founded in 1947, is a public institution of technology. Its 173-acre campus is located in Klamath Falls, in south-central Oregon.
Oregon Institute of Technology offers rigorous, practical education emphasizing the application of theory for real-world solutions. Students of OIT have exciting opportunities for hands-on learning through labs, projects, externships and research guided by faculty who retain their professional connections to industry. Early on, students actively apply theory in the laboratory setting, in the community, and in addressing some of society's greatest challenges. OIT programs lead to rewarding careers in health professions, renewable energy, environmental science, information technology, engineering, business and management.
OIT locations throughout the Northwest include the traditional four-year campus in Klamath Falls with a diverse student body of freshmen, transfer, graduate and international students. Four locations in the Portland Metro area offer degree-completion programs for transfer students or for freshmen who start at a community college and finish with OIT through a dual enrollment option. OIT Seattle and La Grande offer specific degree options, while OIT's distance education program delivers a variety of programs online. OIT welcomes you to its close-knit community of world-ready students.
