Nyssa Pfeiffer
Follow messageI make the pretentious as down-to-earth as possible. I sing in a Chamber Choir, I speak some killer French, and I consider myself a fledgling literary connoisseur. Linguistics makes me happy, I know far too much about the evolution of Jacksonian Democracy, and nothing makes me happier than grasping an entirely new math concept. I live to learn, but still find time to be spontaneous with my friends, frequently holding water fights in the parking lot outside of the local Taco Bell. I love going to church each and every Sunday, as much as for the people I meet as for my religion. I love both

Favorites
- Movies:
Not a huge movie person, but I enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine a lot. I watch Princess Bride on a fairly regular basis, and I am one of those people who can quote nearly every line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
- TV Shows:
House, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance (I am such a Fox brat), The Office, What Not to Wear.
- Music:
Anything from Mozart to U2 to System of a Down to Coldplay back to the Rolling Stones.
- Websites:
Myspace, Facebook, thatguywiththeglasses.com (I'm ridiculous), Youtube, the works.
- Quotes:
"Blessed with scanty mental furnishings..."
--David Kennedy in the American Pageant while describing Warren G. Harding.
No one said they had to be inspirational. - Books:
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has always been my favorite.
I've tried on several occasions to read all the way through Atlas Shrugged, and I've sworn that I will actually do it this time, because it reads pretty easily.
Douglas Adams is very good, too.
