Northern Michigan University, located in Michigan's unique Upper Peninsula, is a dynamic 4-year, public, coeducational university which offers 180 degree programs to nearly 9,400 undergraduate and graduate students.

The annual NMU Football Golf Outing takes place at noon, Friday, June 1at the NMU Golf Course. The outing is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start and costs $100 per golfer. Registration includes 18 holes, lunch and beverages at the course and a buffet dinner to follow at the Up Front & Co. Register or find more information by e-mailing fbgolf@nmu.edu.

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 24, is the last day for students to sign up for Fall 2013 courses without a professor-signed add card from the Registrar’s Office. Students can sign up for additional courses through mynmu.nmu.edu by 5:30 p.m., Thursday.

Tuesday, May 22 is the final day for students to sign up for Summer 2013 courses for the first block. Those wishing to enroll in a course following Tuesday’s deadline will need an “add card” from the Registrar’s Office and instructor permission.

The Marquette Farmers Market is opening for the season from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., tomorrow, Saturday, May 19 at the Marquette Commons on south Third Street. Over 40 vendors will be selling fresh, local grown foods and handmade artisan products.
