Hi Cynthia! I would recommend calling housing (940.565.2610). The housing system is live, so if you check multiple days in a row the options could be different everyday. Let me know if you have other questions!

What is the athletic department like?
    • 92
      That's my question.
    • 52
Hi you guys! Our athletic program is awesome! We're Division I in the Sunbelt Conference, but starting in 2013 we're moving to Conference USA. We just opened a new $80 football stadium this past season and in the past few years we've opened a new softball stadium and tennis facility. All our sports are listed on meangreensports.com. Let me know if you have any other questions!

i want to come here for art but am unsure if i will be able to support myself after graduating if i major in any of the art mayors. is it worth it?
    • 52
I'm definitely a big advocate of majoring in what you're passionate it! Any major on campus is going to teach you to relate to people and the world around you, so there are lots of opportunities when you graduate. Our art programs are some of the best in the country and since a network of UNT alumni already exists in the art community, it's a little easier for our students to get jobs when they graduate.

I am a junior, next year I will be a senior, and I want to attend UNT for business. I'm good in Math it is my favorite subject, in that will most of my major classes revolve around math (saying that I am majoring in business)
    • 52
I'm a business major too! I'll be graduating with my MBA this summer. Some of the business classes to center around math (accounting, finance, stats), but there are others that don't involve math as much. If you were to major in Accounting or Finance you would have more classes that use math.

Do you require 4 years of math in high school for admission? I took 2 years of high school level math in middle school in Minnesota, but when I moved to Kansas freshman year, the credits didn't transfer. I took Pre-Calc/Trig. freshman year and I am taking AP Calculus this year as a sophomore. I plan to take College Algebra in my junior year. At that point, I would really like to stop taking math. Will this hurt my chances of admission (only taking 3 years of math in high school)?

You would just need to make sure your counselor can fill out the Texas Uniform Admissions Form- http://essc.unt.edu/recruitment/TXUniformAdmCert_0708_or_Later.pdf. That's what we look at to make sure you have the classes you need.
