Through collaboration with the C&J Deparment, the IFDM program, and the Anderson School of Management, four student interns applied their academic experience and individual talents to produce UNM's latest spot. "Find Your Pack" defines the college experience as a community where individuals connect with others who share similar interests. The strategy of this institutional spot is to convey UNM as an institution where great work is accomplished in an open and encouraging learning environment. The student interns chose to film some of the unique academic programs and rich campus settings only found at the University of New Mexico.

Schackel speaks about and sign copies of her new book, "Working the Land: The Stories of Ranch and Farm Women in the Modern American West" (University Press of Kansas) on Thursday, March 29 at 1 pm at the UNM Bookstore. The book includes oral histories from more than 40 women from Ariz., Colo., Idaho, NM, Ore. and Texas recalling their experiences as ranchers and farmers in a modernizing west. Schackel provides a deeper understanding of the West's development over the last 50 years.
