  • CSE Innovation Lab 2011 - 2012: Feather Rufflers - PheasantTracker
  • The Feather Rufflers developed a prototype tracking device for pheasants. Tracking devices are commonly used on larger animals, but the extreme constraints in weight and power efficiency for smaller birds such as pheasants make commercially available products infeasible and cost prohibitive. The team partnered with CSE Professor Dr. Mehmet Can Vuran and TJ Fontaine of Nebraska Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research to develop the new PheasantTracker hardware device. The team completed the project as part of their 2011-2012 Senior Design Capstone project through the Department of Computer Science & Engineering's Innovation Lab.
