- JV volleyball
- We only have a team during the fall . . . but I love it anyway! (I got MVP back then - I was so happy!)
- varsity volleyball
- I was one of only two sophomores called to the varsity - it made me really proud, even though I was scared to death of the upperclassmen. Our coach made me a starter, and told me that he actually wanted me in 9th grade, too!
- Senior Band
- I've actually been in high school's Senior Band since 8th grade . . . it's tough but rewarding. Starting this year, I got the first clarinet part and have the big job of leading the whole section!
- drama club
- I didn't actually intend to join this club . . . then I signed up for IGCSE drama and decided I should. It was great! The people in drama are always really enthusiastic, and we had lots of fun while working hard.
- BrainBowl
- We're a small team . . . still, I really enjoy it! Us nerds in my year get together and have fun being smart. I've been named captain twice so far!

- Since we choose BrainBowl captains by score, I qualified twice! I seem to be good at storing otherwise-useless information.

- Every year the Japanese post office has to hire extra workers to sort all the New Year's post cards that are sent. It's the first job for a lot of Japanese teenagers because the government employs us, and parents don't worry.
