Marlboro, founded in 1946, is a private, liberal arts college. Its 366-acre campus is located in Marlboro, 10 miles north of Brattleboro. The goal of Marlboro College is to teach students to think clearly and to learn independently through engagement in a structured program of liberal studies. Students are expected to develop a command of concise and correct English and to strive for academic excellence informed by intellectual and artistic creativity; they are encouraged to acquire a passion for learning, discerning judgment and a global perspective. The college promotes independence by requiring students to participate in the planning of their own programs of study and to act responsibly within a self-governing community.

Winter Visit Day - for Prospective Students - is coming up in a few weeks and we were trying to remember if this is the least snowy start to February we've had. Any alums recall how much snow Marlboro had the year you toured through campus?

We're very proud of our film program here at Marlboro. And we're SUPER proud of alumnus Alex Greenfield '97 -- he wrote and directed "The Temple", and you can now view the test movie in its entirety. 27 people worked on the project. 534 pieces of character art appear in the rough cut. There are 88 individual screamers in the movie. And Alex makes a special cameo early on... let's see if his classmates can recognize him.
