Waterville, NY
Admissions Counselor
“Mallory Gilchrist is an admissions counselor for Southern Virginia University.
She graduated from the university in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Music. During her time at Southern Virginia, she participated in choirs, volleyball, student government and more. She put on two vocal recitals while attending, one half recital during her junior year and a full hour recital during her senior year. She joined the Southern Virginia admissions department after graduating in July 2011.
Mallory is originally from Waterville, New York. She has worked at her father’s Veterinary Practice throughout her life and loves animals (and their owners). Due to a car accident (resulting in a broken back) a month before her freshman year in college, she was unable to play for the volleyball team but was able to participate in other ways. Now that she has healed, she has gotten certified to teach BodyAttack (an aerobics class that the university has available to students). She enjoys watching movies, playing games, and having fun! She loved the University and recommends it to anyone wishing to have personal attention to their spiritual and intellectual growth.”
