Lake Forest College

(Lake Forest, IL)

Lake Forest College boasts one of the most diverse campuses in the Midwest. And its close proximity to Chicago enables students to engage in active learning, gaining real professional experience through internships in the city. They take care of their students while they are on campus, too. At Lake Forest, there are no TAs-professors do 100% of the teaching and advising. Students can choose from 26 majors, plus minors and special programs. And when they're not in class, they have over 90 students groups to get involved in.Lake Forest also has one of the nation's best financial aid programs, being one of only 13 nationwide to receive a perfect score of 99 in The Princeton Review's 2010 Financial Aid Honor Roll. It's also spent more than 10 years on their Top Ten list in the category "Students Happy With Financial Aid." Find scholarships from Lake Forest today with Zinch.

For art classes, will the teachers help improve your art? Is there a certain skill level one has to be at?
  • 330

Lynsey- Thanks for your questions. Our art professors come from quite a diverse background of teaching and learning. Karen Lebergott, for example, is the department chair and specializes in painting, drawing, and mixed media. They work with students one on one on their strengths and areas of growth for a more well-rounded educational experience. Because we are not an art studio, there is no minimum skill level to be involved as a major or minor at Lake Forest within our art department.
