Kenyon College

Kenyon College is a small liberal arts school and the oldest private college in Ohio. All of its 1,600 students live in a tight-knit community on the College's beautiful hilltop campus, which boasts a 380-acre nature reserve and listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Despite its small size, Kenyon has a lot to offer: a student to faculty ratio of 10 to 1, a popular study abroad tradition with over 150 programs, and 120 student clubs and organizations. A third of Kenyon's students participate in its athletic program, which includes its long-running championship swim team. And all students enjoy taking part in the school's many traditions and its emphasis on creativity and proactive learning.

I just received a beautiful pamphlet with information on Kenyon, and i have fallen in love. The campus is gorgeous and the programs seem very well developed. Definitely on my top 5!

    Hi. I am looking forward to visiting Kenyon on April 9 (after a red-eye flight from California, ugh! :). I'm looking forward to the tour, class visit and interview. Is there anything special that I might want to catch that day? Anything off the beaten path that most visitors might not consider? Also, since I plan to major in psychology,any special comments about the psychology department or program? Thanks much and looking forward to my visit very much!

      I was wondering if your college offers a premed/science program? I'm very interested in this school, based on both the campus as well as the academic excellence, almost definitely going to apply in the next couple years. (I'm only a sophomore in high school)

        I was wondering if your program offered Dance and Journalism majors. If so, I'm definitely interested.

          Hi Caitlin, Kenyon does offer a Dance major, but we do not specifically have a Journalism major. However, Kenyon's English program renowned for excellence across the country. Also, any major at Kenyon will help students to develop their writing skills in tremendous ways. I found an article from the Kenyon Alumni Bulletin from a few years ago about Journalism, and I think you may find it interesting/helpful.         I noticed that you will have info sessions in southern Florida this fall. Do you have any plans for college fairs or info sessions in the Tampa Bay area in the spring? Thank you.

          Hi Meghan, Kenyon has a fantastic Psychology program. It is one of our most popular majors, and provides a lot of undergraduate research opportunities for its students. Our professors are experts in their fields, and part of their responsibility as a professor here is to always continue their research, so that they are staying up to date on their methods and information.             It's move-in day for most of the Fall sports teams! And our new international students arrived earlier this week. Very exciting as we meet new friends from around the world and the campus comes to life!
