I love; speech and debate, track, diving,band etc.
Hi my name is Karissa Backes and I am currently in tenth grade. The sports I currently have done are diving, track, and am now in speech and debate and band, jazz band, and marching band. I am also a 4.0 GPA student.I also did gymnastics for about 11 years. I have done some volunteer work with the gymnastics in Douglas, as well as the Special olympics and many more with my title of Miss Teen Wyoming Galaxy. For state diving this year in Wyoming, I placed third and in conferance placed second. I am both All-State and All-Conferance. In my first year of speech and debate this year I qualified for nationals in oratory and am the state champion in public forum debate with my partner. Which also means I am all-state in speech and debate and will be heading to Indianapolis this summer to compete at nationals. One of my very favorite sports is definately track! I really want to do track and speech and debate in college more than anything! In eighth grade I jumped 32 feet 3 inches. I was out my freshmen year due to injury, but you can bet that I have been working hard and will be ready for track season when it rolls around and will be doing my best to shatter our school record. I am also on berecruited.com. I also enjoy the 4 by 100 relay, 300 hurdles, high jump, and pole vault. I can't wait until graduation!
