Pretty much a self-realized nerd, resigned to the wonders of the world. I consider myself a motivated person; I get good grades, and I'm ranked 2nd in my class.

I am an avid solver of Rubik's cubes! I speed solve for fun, and in some cases, for competition. My record is 18 seconds, while my average is ~20-30seconds. My good friend and I placed 1st at our Key Club District Convention talent show in 2010 for our Rubik's cube solving, and I've also performed the routine at the 2010 session of my state's annual Boys State. This hobby has become an important part of my life :)

Extracurricular

School Key Club

Member for one year, Secretary for another year, and Treasurer for yet another. 100+ hours of community service has come from this club, anything from helping out at a retirement home to teaching young kids about astronomy.

Science Olympiad Member

Science Olympiad Member. Working on various projects from studying herpetology to designing an electrical generator using wind as its power source. Awards: 2009 State Competition, 5th Place Herpetology

Academic Decathlon

Study, study, study! This club has proven to be one of the most fun and challenging! Competed in the "Honors" Level of 3.75+ GPA. Awards: 4th Place Interview, 3rd Place Mathematics, 2nd Place Super Quiz Team, 4th Place Team overall at Regional Competition

International Club

Currently the Treasurer of the club. We are all preparing for our trip to Spain March 12-22, 2010. After over a year of preparation, Vamos a ir al Espana!

Mu Alpha Theta

Fun club devoted to math competition preparation and study. We also spend time tutoring other students in mathematics, and are required to devote several hours every year to this endeavor.

National Honor Society

Member of my school's NHS. We work to do many things, such as maintaining a roadway and collecting water for Haiti.

Tiger Tribune 2007-2008

Writer for our school's newspaper 2007-2008. Much of my articles were "random" articles, usually comical or bizarre narratives aimed at entertaining the reader. Other articles I wrote were of a more serious nature, from the economy to a front page article

Boys State Participant, and Supreme Court Justice

During the 2010 session of Arizona Boys State, I was elected to the position of Supreme Court Justice! It was an immensely influential experience on my life!
