Jennifer Decker
Follow messageJust call me Jen! I work in the Admission Office at Hood College! I love to meet and work with high school students, and show them all the wonderful opportunities that Hood College has to offer! Aside from working, I drink WAY more coffee than someone probably should, but I just love it so much! I adore my puppy, Hannah, (even though she’s 5, I still call her my puppy). I live on a lake, so when the warm weather hits, you can usually find me swimming, fishing, or just boating around! And my most recent hobby has become cooking…all thanks to some wonderful food bloggers and one of my fave shows, “Top Chef.”

- Movies:
Oye! So many! I'm just going to list the movies that I can watch a million times and NEVER get sick of! When Harry Met Sally, Julie/Julia (another factor for my recent cooking obsession), Little Women, Grease, Mamma Mia, Hocus Pocus, Clueless, Newsies, A Muppet's Christmas Carol, and the less popular A Muppet's Family Christmas!
- TV Shows:
Currently on TV....30 Rock, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Parenthood, Top Chef, The Biggest Loser, and Family Guy! And my favorites from the past...Arrested Development, Will and Grace, and Gilmore Girls! I also like to pretend I don't really watch a lot of reality tv....but I totally do!
- Music:
I know a lot of people say this, but honestly, I listen to it all! The "cool" girl in me loves Ben Folds, Guster, Kings of Leon, Paramore (you get the idea). I also love the whole jazzy Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Buble vibe. And then of course I have to stay true to my childhood and occasionaly rock out to some awesome 80's and 90's jams! I also really love acapella music, like Straight No Chaser. And the less "cool" side of me, really LOVES showtunes! I've been to right around 20 broadway shows, and have the soundtrack to ALL of them!
- Books:
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, She's Come Undone, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Circle of Friends, Wuthering Heights, and Lolita!
