I love basketball, biking, music, and being with friends & family. I am the oldest of seven kids and currently attend BYU going into Business Finance. After graduating high school I found myself without any scholarship or grants of any kind- I was mad that I did not know about scholarships earlier in high school- so I decided to do something about it! I researched, interviewed scholarship winners, and found scholarships sources to put together a scholarship website to help others avoid ending up in the same place as me. Now, that website has placed me in the running for this scholarship.
Extracurricular
- Piano
- I play piano on a personel level and have perfomred several times. Mainly for self enjoyment
- Band
- I played clarinet in band and loved it. I was in the highest band level and we perfomed many times and competed with other schools, did very well.
- Basketball
- I play mainly for fun but do plain on some local teams and will continue in college
- Mountain Biking
- As a personal activity i love mountain biking. I beleive it is a great athletic event for all ages and I want to participate in cycling events all my life. This summer my friends and I are planning a 1 day, 100 mile bike ride.
- Dance Commitee Member
- I serve as a dance commitee member with about ten other youth. I help plan, organize, carry out and advertise for dances that bring in over 400 People.
- Two Year Service Project
- At the age of 19 I plan on attending a two year missionary service project for my church. You go and pay for it yourself and do nothing but missionary work for two years. I am greatly looking forward to it and will do it at the age of 19.
