- 1762University of Iowa AdmissionsHi Viren. Thanks for your message. The requirements for the Honors Program are separate from the admission requirements for the College of Business and College of Engineering. For Honors, incoming first-year students need an ACT composite score of 27 or higher (combined SAT Critical Reading and Math score of 1210 or higher) and a high school GPA of 3.80 or higher. Students also qualify with a GPA of 3.70 or higher and an ACT composite score of 30 or higher (or the SAT equivalent of 1330 or higher). Admission requirements for the colleges of business and engineering are at http://www.uiowa.edu/admissions/undergrad/requirements/fy-top.html. Many first-year students interested in business start as pre-business majors in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and then apply to the College of Business while at Iowa. Let us know if you have other questions.

- 1762Hi Kelcy. We require either the ACT or SAT exam. If you take the ACT, we do not require the writing, but recommend you take it.

- 1762Great questions! Not only do we have the third oldest theatre department in the country, but we also have one of the most active. The department performs almost 40 productions each year, some of them student written and produced. Also, you don’t necessarily need to be a theatre arts major to participate; they often hold open auditions and welcome contributions from all students. More information about our theatre department is available here: https://theatre.uiowa.edu/. There are many ways to get involved with our campus radio station, KRUI. Whether you’d like to host your own on-air show or manage things behind-the-scenes, the first step would be to apply. Here’s a link to the jobs available at KRUI: http://krui.fm/about/jobs/.
