Iowa State University (ISU)

Iowa State, founded in 1858, is a public, land-grant university. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Agriculture, Business Administration, Design, Education, Engineering, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Liberal Arts and Sciences. Its 1,788-acre campus is located in Ames, 30 miles north of Des Moines.
