A team of University of Hawaii Cancer Center scientists led by James Turkson, Ph.D., has created a new type of anti-cancer drug named BP-1-102. The University of Hawaii Cancer Center will host its second annual Quest for a Cure: Progress in Cancer Research event from 7:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, in the Mauna Kea Ballroom of the Hawaii Prince Hotel. Hawaii News Now anchor Keahi Tucker will moderate the program aimed at highlighting advancements in cancer research as well as emphasizing the importance of improving quality of life for cancer patients and survivors.
