• It was tough learning a new sport from the beginning. I'm used to being decent at any sport I play because I'm athletic, but lets just say Basketball was a challenge.

• Yearbook let me git rid of some creative juices.

• Wrote articles, Made some crossword puzzles, Interviewed people.. Journalism wasn't that easy for me but it was nice being busy all of the time.

• Boys State


• Boys were chosen all around the State as delegates from different cities around Alaska. The American Legion sponsored this activity and sent me as a delegate from Glennallen High School.

• Food For Life Ministries


• Every Tuesday night I would go downtown to prepare and serve food to the homeless.

• Woodlands Camp - Junior Counselor


• Serving food, taking care of kids, being an example, Setting up games, Cleaning everywhere, Making trails, Lifeguarding.

• Mentasta Ministry - Teen Leader


• Traveling 130 miles to Mentasta Every Tuesday Night to put on Children's Church for troubled teens and kids. Being a friend and a good role model.

• Varsity High School Volleyball Manager


• Took stats, Helped with Practices, drills, etc.

• NHCC Youth Group Activities


• North Hills Comm Church.. Things such as picking up trash, raising money for pregnancy centers, feeding the homeless, raising money/bringing presents to people for Christmas, clothing drive, and more.

• NHCC Nursery


• Worked in the nursery for kids aged 2-5 at North Hills Community Church every first Sunday of the month.

• Good News Club


• Afterschool program that teaches elementary children about Christian values through a lesson. I helped various grade levels (more than 20 kids/grade) I helped with snack time and crafts as well.

• GHS Student Body President


• Student body President at Glennallen High School. I was crazy being in charge of everything, but it was extremely fun and I enjoyed it a lot!

• Alaska Boys State 2008


• In Boys state, I was elected mayor of my city (leader of my cabin), President of the Senate (ran senate legislative sessions with parliamentary procedure), and LT General for the State.

• When in competition with other schools, I was always responsible for stating the answer.
