- Last summer I was on my county's youth advisory board. In one of our projects we put stickers on beer cases to remind cashiers not to sell to minors.

- I have been very involved with the German program at my school. I have entered speaking competitions, taught German at an elementary school, and am a member of the German National Honor Society. I have also attended German Day, a competition with several "events" such as spelling and a skit.
