Hello, I've heard from collegeboard that you take into some consideration the fact that a student is a first-generation college student. However, I'm not quite sure if I'm considered one. Could you please specify what you consider a first-generation college student? My father went to college in Nicaragua, but his degree isn't valid in America and my mom only has her high school diploma. Does the before-mentioned information qualify me for first-generation college student status?

Hi there, I'm a high school junior living in Los Angeles. I'm interested in getting a feel for both the academics and atmosphere at Georgetown. Would attending one of the Summer Institutes offered over the summer give me a better idea of what GU is like? Thanks!
