Follow messageI began College after my first career in sports ended in 2005 when a Hummer hit my car. I'm taking Communications and feel grateful that school can open new careers to me, I hope to attend grad school in the future. I have both US and Canadian citizenship and grew up in the US.

- I was training for over a decade for the National team. A car accident ended my athletic career, and left me with a disability. I am able to attend school, although it has taken me longer to complete my degree.

- Serving food and drinks, cleaning up tables, washing dishes, mopping floor, and other activities I was asked to do by the co-ordinator in relation to serving hot meals to people in need.

- My mom and I would go bike riding, usually once a week before my car accident because she loves it, now I can't but we still go on walks together! :)

- Going downhill fast and loving it! I can't ski or snowboard now, but I sometimes go to the hill with friends and have a hot chocolate in the lounge and read while they ski or snowboard.

- Cancer Society Daffodil Days 2004 to 2004
- I volunteered my time and planned and co-ordinated a fashion show at a large corporate function to fundraise for the Cancer Society. It was a Cancer Society Daffodil Days fundraiser. I was in charge of auditioning models, choreographing the show, selecting music, and fitting appropriate clothes to models. Tickets sold out, and over $25,000 was raised in an evening. Sadly it did not become an annual event or I would have volunteered again.

- Full dues paying member, attended screening of short films, features and members work, volunteered hours to association, created a short film on Homelessness in Calgary through a CSIF workshop and the finished film screened at a film festival.
